Microsoft commits $5.5B to Singapore cloud and AI infrastructure by 2029

On April 1, 2026 Microsoft said it will spend $5.5 billion between 2025 and 2029 on cloud and AI infrastructure and operations in Singapore. The company also launched Microsoft Elevate programs, offering free Copilot‑enabled Microsoft 365 to all tertiary students and AI training for educators and nonprofits across the country.
