Anthropic signs A$32b Zerra DC deal for 2.16GW AI data center in Queensland

Singapore-based developer Zerra DC has signed Anthropic as the anchor tenant for its proposed Western Downs Digital Park in Queensland, a 2.16 GW hyperscale campus valued around A$32 billion. Local media on September 16 and 17 report that Anthropic’s lease covers the first stage of the site, with the company agreeing to fund grid connection and network upgrades subject to Australian approvals.
