• Pakistan and Saudi Arabia deepen AI, data governance cooperation at LEAP 2026

  On September 2, 2026, Pakistan’s IT minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja and SDAIA president Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi agreed in Riyadh to strengthen cooperation on artificial intelligence, data governance and emerging technologies. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the LEAP 2026 conference and focused on building Pakistan’s national AI and data ecosystem.

Saudi Arabia’s Tawakkalna super‑app also marked full integration of 62 government entities, consolidating 926 services for 36 million users and handling over 85 million transactions daily.
