• Microsoft invests $10bn in Japan AI data centres push

  On April 4, 2026, Microsoft said it will invest 1.6 trillion yen (about $10 billion) in Japan between 2026 and 2029 to expand AI data centre infrastructure and deepen cybersecurity cooperation with the government.
