Karnataka and ElevenLabs pilot voice AI for citizen services

On August 27, Karnataka’s Home and IT minister Priyank Kharge met executives from U.S. voice AI firm ElevenLabs to explore pilot projects using synthetic voice for skilling, investment promotion, healthcare and citizen services. The state government and company will co‑design initial pilots focused on interview practice in Indian languages, investor assistance and voice restoration, with a strong emphasis on responsible AI and deepfake safeguards.
