Reddit and Roblox landing in the Very Large Online Platform category rounds out a trio that spans conversational search, community discourse and child‑heavy virtual worlds. The Commission is signaling that AI‑mediated information environments will be judged not just on content, but on architecture, recommendation systems and the treatment of minors. For the race to AGI, the key implication is cultural rather than technical: any lab that routes its flagship models directly to consumers in Europe should now assume DSA‑grade scrutiny is coming as soon as user numbers cross the threshold.
