Nvidia has invested $2 billion in chip design software leader Synopsys as part of an expanded, multi‑year partnership to build AI‑accelerated tools for designing semiconductors and other complex engineered systems. The deal deepens Nvidia’s strategy of tying key parts of the AI hardware and software stack to its GPU ecosystem, and reinforces Synopsys’ role at the center of electronic design automation as AI and digital twin workflows become more compute‑intensive.
