Machine Learning Engineer

Job Description

Build and ship ML systems for social-impact projects in health and agriculture. Work with scientists and engineers to turn research into tools used by governments and NGOs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ML pipelines for vision, text, sound, or tabular data
• Build, test, and monitor models that can run in clinics, fields, or low-resource settings
• Work with ML scientists, product, and domain experts to translate field needs into ML problems
• Help define evaluation metrics that reflect on-the-ground impact, not just offline accuracy
• Contribute to reproducible codebases, reviews, and tooling for experimentation
• Support deployments with engineering teams and external partners
