Job Description

Early-career applied scientist role in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s Generative AI Service team. You build large-scale training and serving systems for LLM and multimodal models used by enterprise customers, working closely with product managers, engineers, and other scientists to turn research into production services. The role is fully in-office in hub locations such as Austin, Nashville, Santa Clara, and Seattle, with a 2026 cohort start date.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build distributed, scalable, high‑performance systems for training and running large language and multimodal models.
  • Collaborate with product managers to turn business needs into concrete AI projects and roadmaps.
  • Coordinate with global teams to take ideas from research into production services on OCI.
  • Optimize model performance and scalability by diving deep into model structure and training pipelines.
  • Lead and mentor junior ML engineers while advocating for solid engineering practices.
