Senior research scientist role in Samsung Research America’s Robot Intelligence Lab, leading cutting‑edge robotics and embodied AI research. You work on robot foundation models, vision‑language‑action systems, perception, and dexterous manipulation, delivering both publications and prototypes on real robots.
Responsibilities
- Lead state‑of‑the‑art research in robotics and embodied intelligence (e.g., VLA/VLMs, multimodal perception, dexterous manipulation)
- Design and implement research prototypes and technology demonstrators on robotic platforms
- Collaborate with cross‑divisional teams, from concept through performance evaluation
- Shape R&D priorities, stay on top of the academic literature, and communicate key developments internally
- Generate patents and first‑author publications at top‑tier venues
