General‑pool Research Engineer role at OpenAI, working across research teams to build large‑scale deep learning systems, optimize distributed training, and help push frontier capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement large‑scale distributed training and inference systems for state‑of‑the‑art models
- Work with research scientists to turn ideas into performant experiments and production code
- Debug, profile, and optimize large ML codebases for reliability and efficiency
- Contribute to the science behind algorithms via experiments and ablations
- Participate in research discussions and help define new ambitious projects
