Job Description
Principal Applied Scientist on the Copilot Discover team, building next-generation AI-powered quality understanding and recommendation systems across Microsoft surfaces (text, images, audio, video). Role leads ranking and content-quality models using LLMs and multimodal models to improve engagement, satisfaction, and trust.
Responsibilities
- Architect and productionize LLM-enhanced recommender systems for Copilot Discover
- Advance user and content understanding to generate rich signals for ranking and safety models
- Innovate AI-forward features (e.g., AI-generated content, GenUI experiences) in MSN/Discover surfaces
- Own evaluation/experimentation methodology to attribute model and product impact
- Scale end-to-end ML systems with engineering partners and mentor a cohort of applied scientists
