Job Description
Machine Learning Engineer in Microsoft AI (MAI) working on the AIPA Platform squad to ensure correctness and quality of Copilot. The role involves developing methods to evaluate LLMs, collecting and curating data for prompt engineering and fine‑tuning, and training classifiers and other models that underpin Copilot’s behavior.
Responsibilities
- Develop and iterate on evaluation methods for Copilot’s LLMs, including offline metrics and human‑in‑the‑loop assessments.
- Experiment with data collection techniques for prompt engineering and fine‑tuning, and build classifiers that support Copilot experiences.
- Collaborate with other ML engineers, researchers, and product teams to ensure Copilot behaviors are robust, safe, and aligned with user expectations.
- Contribute to platform tooling and pipelines that make it easier to ship and monitor Copilot ML features.
