Job Description

Researcher role at Huawei Technologies Canada focused on embodied human–computer interaction and robotics: fundamental and applied research on human‑robot interaction, robot foundation models, multimodal spatial reasoning, and large behavior models for audio‑vision‑language–action integration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on human‑robot interaction, robot dexterity, task generalization, and safe, natural interaction with humans.
• Develop AI models for spatial intelligence and dexterous manipulation using large‑scale multimodal data.
• Integrate and evaluate large foundation models for embodied AI applications involving audio, speech, and visual perception.
• Run experiments and benchmarking in both simulated and physical environments, and document results for internal and external publication.
