Senior IC role on Google Search working on Local Search quality in Bengaluru. The engineer designs and ships ML‑driven retrieval, ranking, and result‑presentation systems that make long, natural‑language queries better understood and served by Google Search at global scale.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve Search Quality systems (retrieval, ranking, triggering, and result presentation) for Local Search using modern ML techniques.
- Motivate query growth and improve user satisfaction through better handling of complex, natural‑language queries.
- Work closely with cross‑functional partners across Search to take models from design through experimentation, evaluation, and launch.
- Mentor other engineers and influence broader Search ML best practices.
