Job Description

Huawei Technologies Canada is hiring a Machine Learning Researcher focused on large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). The role involves building benchmarks and testbeds for advanced LLMs (Transformer, Mamba), constructing RAG testbeds and optimizing database efficiency, rapidly implementing new algorithms and architectures, and developing innovative DL architectures and algorithms for large language models.

Responsibilities

• Build benchmarks and testbeds for advanced LLMs based on architectures like Transformer and Mamba.
• Develop RAG testbeds and optimize database efficiency for retrieval-heavy workloads.
• Collaborate with researchers to implement and test new LLM algorithms and architectures quickly.
• Research and develop novel deep-learning architectures and algorithms for LLMs.
• Contribute to design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of research frameworks.
