Job Description

Research Scientist role at Google DeepMind (Seattle) working on empowering humans in the era of LLMs—designing methods to better control models and leverage them to help people learn, reason and create, as part of a foundational‑research team with an eye toward practical applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement new features and tools within DeepMind’s ML frameworks to accelerate research with large language models.
  • Collaborate with DeepMind researchers on experiment design and execution for LLMs, including training, data pipelines, evaluation and RL post‑training.
  • Optimize large‑scale ML workflows and participate in advancing state of the art in human‑centric LLM use.
  • Contribute to publications and internal deployments focused on model control, alignment and human‑AI collaboration.

Benefits
